Four subsystems. One governing intelligence.

Three of them handle the product — gathering it, moving it, dispatching it. One of them, AI-CS, thinks for all of them — and answers to Smart Field, the governing intelligence of the whole project.

01 · SERM-GC

Self Energised Remote Mini Gathering Centre

Not an early-production separator skid — a complete gathering centre in miniature. It performs the role of a full-scale gathering centre, but at a smaller scale and at the well rather than the other way around: usually one unit per well. We call it the “Contained Black Box”: about the size of a load truck, easy to move and install, with built-in fire and explosion protection. It is deployed in numbers at the wellheads, rather than as one giant plant years away.

02 · CL Unit

Circle Pipeline — the Oil-Grid

The closed, underground ring that links every SERM-GC together and gives the project its name — three lines in one trench, for oil, gas and water. Product can move in either direction, so an outage in one segment is designed to be bypassed rather than shut the field down, and the loop itself doubles as a buffer reservoir — the design has no tanks.

03 · AI-CS

AI Control Station

The central intelligence of the grid. Every unit carries its own local AI that reports to AI-CS and takes its instructions from it — real-time monitoring, prediction, optimisation and automatic response, day and night, so people are kept out of hazardous conditions rather than stationed inside them. AI-CS itself operates under Smart Field, the governing intelligence of the whole project.

04 · DS

Product Dispatch Station

Where the finished product leaves the grid. Set at the low point of the ring, the DS recovers any remaining impurities, upgrades the crude to the customer's specification, heats it where needed, and pumps oil and gas straight to refineries, trunklines and customers — and the water to re-injection or treatment — with smart metering, intelligent sensors and custody transfer built in, so ownership changes hands as cleanly as the product does.

From survey to hand-over

Every project is planned to follow the same six stages, from the first survey of the field to the day the client's own people take over its operation. The standard system is to be engineered, validated and certified once, before the first customer, so each project is planned to fit that certified design to its own field rather than begin a new design.

1 · Survey: The field is planned to be mapped above and below ground, from remote sensing and geological data.
2 · Design: The certified standard design is planned to be laid onto the field: the route of the ring, the position of every unit and of the AI-CS, and the DS at the ring's low point.
3 · Logistics: Factory-built units and pipe are planned to arrive by road.
4 · Construction: The trench and the ring, the AI-CS and the DS are planned to be built in parallel, and the units set on their pads.
5 · Commissioning: Units are designed to come on stream one by one, and production to start with the first commissioned units.
6 · Operation: The Smart Field is designed to run the field, and the seven-year training programme is planned to hand its operation to the client's own people.
